I bet you have lots of friends who own their own business. And you’d love to support them, but just don’t know someone who needs what they offer.
As a business owner, I get it. I don’t expect my friends to all have a dream client to send my way.
BUT here’s a bunch of easy ways you can help your friends who own businesses without spending a dime or taking much time.
• Comment on or share their social media posts. Every now and then, spread the love – probably some great advice they share or a great deal on something people need. You have a big network and can’t possibly know what everyone is looking for – whether a business service, personal product or anything in between.
I know someone who sells awesome activewear for women. But do I know who of my friends is looking for yoga pants on any given day? Nope!
Comments and shares mean SO much more than a “like.”
• If they have a Facebook group: join it and comment on posts. Or start on conversation and ask questions!
• If they have a blog: read a few articles and comment on them. If you like the subject enough to want more in your inbox, subscribe and repeat.
• If they have a podcast: download some episodes, listen, subscribe, and rate and review.
• If they have a YouTube channel: watch some videos, subscribe and comment.
• Be willing to get on their email list and forward emails that you think would be helpful to others.
Bonus points: give your friend FEEDBACK on anything you see, read or hear. Be constructive and it will be taken in the spirit it’s offered by most of us. I LOVE getting feedback – even the constructive kind.
So how about starting now? Share this to your business-owning friends!
Help them grow their business – without spending a dime or tons of time.
