Engagement: the social media kind, not the getting married kind.

Engagement: the social media kind, not the getting married kind. It might just be the best reason to look at your metrics because it tells you whether your audience is liking your stuff.

It’s how many people like, comment and share what you post. That’s both an indication of what you’re putting out and whether you’re attracting the right kind of audience for what you provide.

Both are key.

You want to make sure you’re sharing things that get seen by the people who want to see it, who need it. That’s when engagement goes up.

Now, don’t feel bad if not EVERYONE likes or comments on everything. Frankly, that’s never going to happen. Average engagement rates on most platforms hover between 1% and 3% of the people who see your post.

However, one of the things I help my clients with is increasing engagement. We make sure they’re putting out the right kind of content and attracting an audience who wants what they have to offer.

I just finished their monthly metrics reports and one of my client’s engagement rates range between 8% and 11% each month. Another gets as high as 30% engagement.

I’m also really proud of my own engagement rate, which can be above 20% in any given month. It makes me really happy that YOU find what I put out that helpful and valuable!

Want to see if I can help you improve your engagement so you’re talking to exactly the right kind of people for you and giving them what they want? Send me a message and let’s talk!
